Overview of Tuberculosis in Elephants in the United States

Tuberculosis in elephants in the United States is a complicated disease that poses numerous elephant and human health concerns, regulatory difficulties, and diagnostic challenges. These issues have contributed to debate regarding appropriate regulatory standards. This study ensured that contributions from all experts were integrated into an objective assessment of currently available information, and subsequently published to appropriately address Mtb in elephants. It required a formal literature search and resulted in an archive of literature and a searchable database.
