The Impact of Social Status, Age, and Climate on Reproduction in African Elephants (Loxodonta africana)
Research determined how social and environmental factors impact reproduction in both wild and captive African elephants. While the cause of ovarian dysfunction is still unknown, efforts are currently underway to change other factors that may contribute to acyclicity.
