Installing Early Warning Signals for Elephants Crossing Roads, India

This project in Southern India is trialing an Early Warning System in Bannerghatta National Park and the surrounding area in order to reduce the chances of elephant-vehicle collisions. This will allow elephants to safely travel between habitats and reduce injuries and fatalities of people and elephants. The system will also notify forest officials of elephant presence in an area, enabling more accurate monitoring of populations and migration patterns.
