21st International Elephant Conservation and Research Symposium
December 5 ~ 8, 2025

The International Elephant Foundation and the Fort Worth Zoo announce the 21st International Elephant Conservation & Research Symposium to be held at the Fort Worth Zoo on December 5-8, 2025.
For the first time in over a decade this important symposium is returning to the United States. Hosted by the Fort Worth Zoo, this exclusive in-person event will feature notable figures from the elephant conservation and research world.
The pressures on wild populations of elephants are increasing at an alarming rate. Wildlife habitat continues to shrink while human-elephant conflict increases. Conservationists and researchers around the world strive to protect the remaining animals and habitat, and this symposium is a distinguished opportunity to share new results, make connections, and learn.
We invite global elephant conservationists and researchers to present conservation projects and research outcomes, new technologies in field conservation and conflict mitigation, studies in disease, reproduction and behavior, and other issues that impact the long-term survival of African savannah, African forest, and Asian elephants. DEADLINE EXTENDED!! DUE: July 31, 2025
Global EEHV Meeting on December 9-10, 2025 at the Fort Worth Zoo in Texas, USA.
This important meeting will bring together leading experts, researchers and veterinary professionals to collaboratively advance the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and management of Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpesvirus (EEHV). In light of the global threat EEHV poses to all elephant populations, this forum presents a critical opportunity to share knowledge, review progress, and strengthen coordination across international stakeholders.
NOTE: Attendance is limited to veterinarians specializing in elephant care, EEHV researchers, elephant managers, and keepers.
