Not everyone can travel around the world to see elephants in person and experience first-hand the incredible conservation work IEF supports, which is why we started our Conservation Chat series. For nearly 4 years we have held monthly live chats where you can hear directly from the field. These chats are an incredible opportunity to learn, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of a variety of elephant conservation topics.

This month’s Conservation Chat on Tuesday, August 19th at 9am PDT/11am Central is unique. We will be joined by four members of the Elephant TAG: Adam Felts (Columbus Zoo), Lauren Ripple (Dallas Zoo), David Hagan (Jacksonville Zoo) and Vernon Presley (Fresno Chaffee Zoo). TAG stands for Taxon Advisory Group which oversees the elephant population held in U.S. zoos and multiple countries worldwide.

This is a special opportunity to learn about the important role elephants in human care play in conservation and the actions taken to advance their welfare, sustainability, and future. Attendance is free! Register here.
