Greetings,

Did you know that IEF has a quarterly publication where we cover elephant topics more in-depth than in this eNewsletter? It’s called Elephant Echoes and the July 2024 edition (Issue Number 9) is out today!

In this issue you can read about the incredible milestone in stomping out EEHV, recent IEF travel to Africa, the 2024 project we are supporting in Tanzania, an interview with one of our Board Members, and more! Check it out!

Virtual Symposium Begins Next Week!

The 20th International Elephant Conservation & Research Symposium begins next week on Tuesday, July 30th! From 6am to 10am PST we will present a can’t-miss virtual symposium for elephant experts and enthusiasts alike. We can’t wait to see you there! Check out the official program here (program subject to change).

Marjorie Bercier joins us for our next Conservation Chat!

She will discuss her important work researching Plasma D-dimer Concentration in Juvenile Elephants with and without EEHV-HD. EEHV is the leading cause of death among juvenile elephants and Marjorie is working to stop it in its tracks.
