We have so much to tell you! Firstly, the latest edition of Elephant Echoes is now available. You can read about how IEF was part of a panel discussion at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums conference in Calgary, forest elephant research in Gabon, and even an elephant doing the “moonwalk”. We also have some exciting events coming up, like our annual Coffee, Cocktails & Conservation event on Giving Tuesday, and a brand new event called Santa’s Biggest Elves. Learn more below.

For the third year in a row, IEF is bringing back Coffee, Cocktails & Conservation on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd! As you know, Giving Tuesday is an annual global day of generosity that takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. We like to take this day and show you our appreciation by giving you special access to conservationists and experts who work to expand our knowledge about elephants.

Grab your morning coffee or tea and join us for Coffee & Conservation at 8am PST/10am Central where you will meet Dr. Lauren Howard. Dr. Howard is a veterinarian who has helped lead the charge to make Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpesvirus (EEHV) a thing of the past. She is coordinating and driving much of the research and action internationally.

After a long day, grab a cocktail or mocktail and join us for Cocktails & Conservation at 4pm PST/6pm Central where you will meet Dr. Ellen Weidner. Dr. Weidner is a world-renowned large animal veterinarian and has vast experience with elephants from births to EEHV to geriatric care and more! Any talk with Dr. Weidner is sure to be fun, entertaining, and informative!
