You’re invited to kick off the New Year with a fresh dose of hope and conversation about elephants!

Join us on Thursday, January 29 at 9:00am PST / 11:00am Central for our first Conservation Chat of 2026—an informal, live online session where we’ll talk candidly with our special guest Laura van der Meer.

Laura has over three decades of experience in international environmental law and policy. She works with companies, associations, and nonprofits on government relations, advocacy, coalition-building, and regulatory compliance. Her current work largely focuses on policy processes under multilateral agreements and the implementation of international rules in domestic legislation.

Whether you work in conservation, support it as a donor or volunteer, or are simply wildlife curious, this Conservation Chat is for you! Come learn and get inspired!

The session is completely free to attend. RSVP today to get your link to join and receive the replay: https://tinyurl.com/ConservationChat.

Our second Conservation Chat will take place Wednesday, February 25th at 9am PST/ 11am Central with Stacey Engel.

Stacey works in South Africa researching the immune response of free-ranging African Savanna elephants, disease response, and genetics.
